Description:

Each week, students will explore the life and art of a famous artist and create their own inspired pieces. Highlights include Ben Day dots with Lichtenstein, tiger drawings like Rousseau, vibrant flowers with O’Keefe, and abstract art with Kandinsky. Artists covered will include Arno, Cézanne, Da Vinci, Kirchner, Klee, Escher, Lichtenstein, Mondrian, Moses, O’Keefe, Seurat, Warhol, Calder, Goldsworthy, Kandinsky, and Rousseau.

Requirements:

Students should focus on creativity, self-expression, and enjoying the art process. Confidence and fun are encouraged, with the understanding that there are no mistakes in art.

100% class participation

2 hours independently per day, 3 hours working with a parent per day
