Elementary Literature

Description:
During this course, students will dive into great literature. As we focus on reading and interacting with these incredible books, we will study vocabulary, reading comprehension, literary terms, and use scripture to discuss the deeper issues created by the plot and characters.
Requirements:
In this highly interactive class, students are expected to take turns speaking, stay on task and on topic, and most importantly to be polite and respectful to both their classmates and their teacher. Students should plan to spend 1 hour a week on homework assignments in addition to reading their assigned novels.

None
Grades:
Grades will be assessed through weekly homework assignments and work completed in class. There will also be projects assigned for each book.

2 hours independently per day, 3 hours working with a parent per day
