Description:

This course is designed to introduce students to many of the safety hazards they may encounter throughout life. Throughout the course students will learn both in a traditional classroom setting as well as with exciting hands on skills. Topics that will be covered include: fire safety, 1st aid, home safety, and road safety. Hands on skills will include: fire extinguisher use, bandaging, CPR, and AED usage. This course will also introduce students to career paths in public safety (fire, police, EMS).

Level of Parental Involvement
M,W,F work

Middle School:
3 hours independently per day, 2 hours working with a parent per day

High School:
5 hours independently per day, 1 hour working with a parent per day
