This collection of writing lessons provides an incredible opportunity to increase your student’s understanding of Scripture as they improve their writing abilities. Working through all of IEW’s nine units—and beyond, these writing lessons use actual passages from Scripture as source texts.
During our weekly class time we will work through our new assignment together as a class. However, the majority of the student’s writing will occur at home during the week. Students will often read their prior week’s assignment aloud in class and I will collect all papers to check for required elements and lightly spot check for writing errors. Your student will receive a grade for each week’s assignment based on completion of paper with required elements.
A syllabus will be sent out to parents with details of assignments due. There will be a writing assignment due each week, parents are required to fully edit and have the student revise a final draft each week at home.
