English Language & Literature

Strong communication is essential for college, career, and life.
Students will:
  • Read and analyze literature from a variety of genres
  • Develop advanced writing skills for essays, research, argument, and narrative
  • Build vocabulary and critical reading habits
  • Communicate effectively in writing and discussion

Mathematics

High School math builds conceptual understanding plus real-world application.
Students will:
  • Complete courses including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and College Algebra
  • Strengthen logical reasoning and quantitative problem-solving
  • Apply mathematical thinking to real-life and technical challenges
  • Prepare for college math readiness

Science

Science courses spark inquiry, investigation, and deeper understanding of God’s creation.
Students will:
  • Study rigorous life, earth, and physical sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Advanced Biology)
  • Conduct laboratory investigations and scientific research
  • Connect scientific principles to real-world issues

History & Social Sciences

History helps students understand the past and responsibly engage the present.
Students will:
  • Explore U.S. and world history from a biblical worldview
  • Analyze cultural, political, and economic forces shaping society
  • Build critical thinking through discussion, research, and interpretation
  • Connect historical insight to contemporary decisions

Bible & Worldview

High School Bible equips students to navigate life with a biblical perspective.
Students will:
  • Study Scripture deeply, ethically, and thoughtfully
  • Apply biblical truth to personal, relational, and societal challenges
  • Develop a coherent Christian worldview

Life Skills & Personal Growth

Dual Credit Opportunities

Earn College Credit in High School
Matthew Road Academy high school students have the opportunity to earn dual credit through a partnership with LeTourneau University. This program allows motivated students to complete college-level coursework while still enrolled in high school, saving time and tuition while building confidence for the next academic step.

Students will:

  • Earn transcripted college credit while completing high school coursework
  • Experience college-level expectations in a supportive, faith-based environment
  • Strengthen academic discipline, responsibility, and time-management skills
  • Graduate better prepared for college rigor and independence
