Shannon Rosales
This course continues from Language Arts 3, completing Volume 2 of The Logic of English. Students will learn 74 phonograms and 31 spelling rules to better understand the structure of the English language. Interactive learning will focus on decoding and spelling, while Shurley Grammar will deepen their grammar knowledge.
This class meets twice a week, with homework due at the following session. In addition to assigned homework, students should practice phonograms and spelling rules regularly. Tests will be given throughout the year, covering phonograms, spelling rules, and grammar.
Students new to MRA Language Arts must complete a summer homework packet or attend a summer boot camp to prepare for the school year. New parents are required to watch a mandatory orientation video explaining the philosophy and teaching style of The Logic of English curriculum.
Students will be graded on quizzes, homework, and tests.
