Middle School Personal Finance is designed to prepare students for a successful life by teaching mindfulness and responsibility with finances. The curriculum will be founded on Dave Ramsey’s “Middle School Foundations in Personal Finance.” Through that, students will learn about personal financial responsibility, the basic principles needed to, not only survive, but to do well in the real world. Students will explore financial responsibility, career and income planning, basic economics, and entrepreneurship. Students will learn about debt instruments, interest, and principal. They will also gain understanding of saving and delayed gratification, the importance of capitalism, supply and demand, profit, competition, purpose, innovation. Students will watch videos in class and perform class activities and math skills practice. Homework is a once a month chapter assessment.

Middle School:
3 hours independently per day, 2 hours working with a parent per day

Texts:

Dave Ramsey curriculum and software will be provided to full time students. Part time students will have an additional $100 fee to cover the purchase of these items.
