Description:
This course with teacher supervision, will help students to explore and release their creative sides while solving real-world problems. Students will explore a wide range of hands-on engineering activities.
Requirements:
This will be a fun class for students in middle school or high school who have a 1 hour attention span. Students will be required to work in groups, so communication and ability to work well with others is desired. We will work to develop your students’ competencies through hands-on projects covering key science topics such as physical-, life-, earth- and space sciences, engineering and technology. Projects will be designed to help improve students’ problem solving, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills, as well as integrate the use of relevant digital tools to improve computational thinking.

Grades:
This class will be graded on participation and effort.
Upon successful completion of this course a 9th-12th grade student will earn 0.5 elective credit toward graduation.
Level of Parental Involvement
Middle School:
3 hours independently per day, 2 hours working with a parent per day
High School:
5 hours independently per day, 1 hour working with a parent per day
