The Great Escape

The Great Escape – Matthew Road Academy
Instructor:

Michelle Valenzuela

Description:

The Great Escape is for those who would rather solve mysteries than watch someone else have all the fun. Your escape room adventure will have you cracking codes, solving puzzles, and following clues. Think outside the box. Test what you think you know. Remove all the locks before the timer runs out. Part problem solving, part adrenaline, end-to-end fun.
Unlock engagement! When students are engaged, they are learning to think critically and making meaningful connections. All games require the 4C’s: critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication. Each game provides students the opportunity to fail forward. Every unsuccessful attempt to open a lock forces the player to try again. Students will look around for clues and artifacts. These will help provide information needed to figure out the combinations to the locks. Students will talk with your group to share what they are thinking about the clues.
