US History
Instructor:
Catherine Rodecker
Description:
Your student will travel on an adventure through American History. Each week we will dive into the geography of the states and cover events and people who formed our country. Each semester we will also create a hands-on project to experience the time period.
This course will encompass work that needs to be completed at home. These required assignments will range from completing assigned worksheets to oral presentations or projects, all of which will require the student to research information online or in a library with a parent.
Requirements:
Each week during class time we will spend time learning about the current topic. There will be discussion time as we discuss the people and events and what it shares with us concerning history. We will also alternate between hands-on activities, such as: acting out events with skits, map-work, building models or creating crafts based on the topic.
Your child should be able to sit intently during class and be capable of completing projects with minimal assistance.
